London, Printed for J. Payne, 1753. Bound by Zaehnsdorf in about 1900(?) in half dark brown morocco, with gilt titles to spines. Marbled boards and edges. Vol. II was published in 1754. A complete run of the bi-weekly magazine, with contributions by Samuel Johnson, John Hawkesworth etc., from Tuesday 7 November 1752 until Saturday 9 March 1754. Bookplates tipped-in to front pastedowns. Spines faded and lower corners a little knocked. Lower third of front hinge cracked, but still firm.
