The first three volumes in beautiful full blue morocco gilt by Eyre & Spottiswoode, with many gilt regimental badges and honours. a.e.g. F.f.e.p. to Vol.I inscribed 'Presented to General the Right Honbl. Sir R.A.Buller V.C., G.C.B., K.C.M.G. with the Author's Compliments, 27.4.95'. The last three volumes slightly larger in blue cloth gilt with uncut edges. Very light fading to spines of first three volumes. Some pages unopened. Inner hinge to Vol.IV a little weak. Vol.V with previous owner's name neatly crossed out on f.f.e.p. Some light spotting to one or two volumes. Overall a near fine set. pp. xxiv, 322, v, xxxvii, 430; xxxix, 395; xxxiii, 429; xxiv, 307; xvi, 374. With many plates and maps, complete as per lists.
